LOST S05E05 [EPISODE REVIEW]

Is this show freaking awesome or what?? Wow!! let me say that a few more times!! WOW WOW WOW!! damn! this show is simply amazing!! I have always been biased and have kept 'Entourage' as my favourite tv-show/series...but when it comes to drama, mindblowing suspense, intriguing supernatural happenings, and some superb performances and even more superb scripting, screenplay, editing, direction and narration - LOST will always be far above all other shows!!

What an amazing episode!! I cannot get over this episode! I have already seen the episode twice in two hours and feel like giving a break to my episode review and watching it again! So much has happened in this episode and everything now makes so much sense and you just can't but continuously applaud the writers of the show of how about there creative thoughts have elevated this show to a whole new level!! WOW!!!

Jin is stuck with the French survivors (which includes Danielle), and after a few time flashes he reunites with Sawyer and others. Its good to see him reuniting and Charlotte helping him understand about the flashes and all...Fast forward Sun has her gun aimed at Ben when Ben breaks out that Jin is still alive and he can show her the proof...Sayid and Kate walk off from the scene and Sun along with Ben and Jack head towards where Ben would give Sun the proof!

Coming back to the island, after a few quick random time flashes Charlotte acts strangely and tells Jin in Korean not to let Sun come back to the island! She also tells Locke that if the orchid is not there then look for the well! Daniel Faraday stays back with Charlotte and the rest head on to find the Orchid/well. In the meantime when Charlotte is alone with Faraday, she tells him that she has been to this island and a man in her childhood in the very same island told her that she would eventually die if she comes back to the island. Thats not freaky but the very next part is when she tells Faraday that the crazy man that told herthis was none other then Daniel Faraday himself!! WOW!! But sadly soon after that Charlotte passes away :(

Ben drives Sun and Jack to a church and before entering the church, he shows Sun a wedding ring that belongs to Jin which eventually was given to him by John Locke when he met Ben. It seems that Ben is on the right track and is finishing off what Locke couldnt do. I hope he doesnt have any further grey shades to show! Even if he is still a negative character, I dont give a damn as long as the rest of the season is as kick-ass as the first 5 episodes.

Coming back to the church scene, Enter Desmond (yaaaayy!! i love his character!). Desmond approaches Ben, Sun and Jack asking them whether even they are here to see Faraday's mother. When they enter the church, Faraday's mother turns out to be the same lady that was shown in the earlier episodes who worked in the butcher shop and had a few conversations with Ben! Apparently, Faraday's mom would lead them back to the island!

It'll be interesting to see how Sayid, Kate, and Hugo will join Ben's crew to get back to the island. It'll be interesting to learn more about Daniel's past. His story is really one of the highlights of this season. I wonder if we'll get to see more of Locke in this season, after his brave sacrifice (whether they'll show him approaching Ben and telling him all about what needs to be done). I wonder if Miles has something to his character that'll further spark up the show!

Lets keep our fingers cross and hope that the rest of the season stays as amazing as it is at the moment or gets even better (it cant get better then this...but if it does then standing ovation to the cast and crew of LOST).

Till the next expisode,
Over and Out!! :)

HEROES S03E15 [Episode Review]

After watching probably one of the best ever climax of an episode (episode 14), one expected episode 15 to be even greater, sadly thats not the case! The episode was good but what it all dealt was with the aftermath of the plane crash and the rest of the prisoners (heroes) fleeing away from the crash scene.

Sadly, we dont have Daphne any more in the series as she was shot by Nathan's gunmen...but you never know she can make a comeback probably after getting a blood sample injected from Claire. Anyways I am glad that we'll have a break from Daphne's and Matt's love story for a while.

Peter is still having troubles with his powers as he can control only one at a time! I hope Ando with his supercharger ability can help him sort out his powers. It'll also be interesting how Hiro gets his powers back,  if he ever does?? I bet he would then there would be no point of him bragging about his legacy and all! Matt's new ability of drawing the future seems cool!

Sylar continues to show his never ending cool grey shades. It'll be interesting to see how he'll confront his bioligical father and how the new kid that will lead him (Sylar) to his father play out to be! Nathan as the bad guy seems cool and realistic as he has the whole backup of the US government.

Till the next episode...

Smalville s08e14 [Tv Show Review]

Oh My GOD!!! What an amazing episode.

Smallville has reached a new high in my books. Just when you think they’ve done it all, they come out and pull and extraordinary episode out of the bag.

The episode starts with a scene from the LuthorCorp building with a board of director meeting. Oliver shows up announcing that he has bought controlling share in the company. Just then a time bomb goes off killing everyone in the room except Oliver.

Olive suspects that the person behind the attack is Lex via a mastermind he fired several years ago. Chloe is able to track the toy maker down, just then Clark shows up and talks Chloe into giving him the information.

And behold it was Lex behind the bombing. But he doesn’t stop there. He has plans to separate Clark and Lana. The roof of the Daily Planet is rigged with enough kryptonite to take the whole city out. Lex gives them the option to either walk away or let Lana absorb the kryptonite which would make her a walking kryptonite rock never to be able to come close to Clark close.

Chloe had rigged a PDA, iphone, with a tracker to track Lex, she gives Clark that to track him down. Right after the scene from the roof of the Daily Planet, Clark furious runs to kill Lex. Lana comes in his way to stop him from doing something he will regret for his whole life of if not that then change him forever. During this conversation with a semi truck in the background where Lex is suspected to be, a bomb goes off killing Lex.

It turns out that the person behind the bombing is none other than Oliver Queen. Chloe discovers this and confronts Oliver, where he rationalizes Chloe into staying quite about him behind the bombing.

Back at the barn Clark finds Lana, unable to go close to her. Lana tells him that she is leaving, where Clark tries to stop her and approaches her. With all the kryptonite Lana has absorbed Clark struggles to get close to her and kisses her. The kryptonite starts to attack his mouth with Lana running away and saying goodbye with an I Love You.

A truly amazing episode, one for the books.

Until the next review,

LOST S05E04 [Episode Review]

This is one show, that keeps on getting better and better!! Wow, what an amazing episode yet once again! JJ Abrams deserves a pat on his back for probably putting up one of the best tv-shows of all time! Although this isnt the best episode in recent times of Lost but definitely one that does justice to the super intriguingly interesting season premiere! This episode revolves around all of the characters and unlike last time no one is left out!

Coming straight to the plot of the episode, We all by now know that the lawyer chasing Kate and Erin was actually working for none other than Benjamin Linus. It will be interesting how Kate will handle Jack and Sayid and talk them out of going back to the island with Benjamin.

In the last bits, Sun is shown with a gun sitting in the car with Erin. I have a feeling she'll go out and attack Benjamin rather than Kate (the way they showed it, it seemed at one point she'll go after Kate). But if Sun goes on to attack Kate, what would happen with Erin?

Its great to see Jin being rescued by some Frenchmen on a rescue boat near an island. What is even more freaky is the fact that amongst the french team there is woman none other than Danielle Rousseau!! Wow that scene really freaked me out! Therefore, Jin like the other survivors on the island is stuck in time flashes! and this time they all are back in the past again!!

Till the next episode...stay tuned :)

House MD [Episode Review] S05E14 "The Greater Good"

Aaaah, God!! what has happened to this show?? First they rip off Chase's role...now Cameron...next they'll probaby chop off Wilson's role and all what we would have would be the "annoying" love story of Foreman and Thirteen!! Hello, we are not watching Grey's Anatomy over here, this is House MD for heaven's sake...let it be like that!!

Another episode that has nothing so special or the special "House" ingredient in it! Coming straight to the case, the case talks about a retired doctor, researching on cancer cure, who now is suffering from an unknown disease...This episode adds a bit of excitement as it shows Thirteen going blind for a while and an immediate operation is required to remove a tumor.

The episode would have been great if they didnt cure Thirteen straight away so that we would have some sympathy for the bitch and looked forward to the next episode! The rest is the usual, House ultimately finds a cure...and everyone goes back home happily!!

This show has lost the edge it used to have on Grey's Anatomy or even ER. Its hard to imagine that this is the same season that gave us some AMAZING episodes pre-christmas and writer's strike. Lets hope the writers of the show stop thinking too much about their paychecks and give us a quality show!

Over and Out!!

Luck By Chance [Movie Review]

Luck By Chance, a movie that i was looking forward to for many reasons; a) Farhan Akhtar's 2nd movie as the lead actor after the successful and still fresh in memory - Rock On!! b) Zoya Akhtar's (Farhan's sister) directorial debut c) Great Supporting Cast d) and the special guest appearances.

Luck By Chance revolves around Farhan Akhtar's character Vikram who has come to join the Hindi Film Industry from Delhi. He finishes his acting diploma from an acting school in Mumbai and starts to look for work. He meets Sona (Konkana Sen Sharma) who is another struggling actor in the city.

As the title suggests the movie talks about luck and being there at the right place and at the right time. On one hand of the movie there is Konkana's character which is reflected by hardwork yet luck isnt very favourable towards her. On the other hand, there is Farhan who is also a hardworking struggling actor yet luck/destiny is favourable towards him.

When Zafar Khan (Hrithik Roshan) rejects Rishi Kapoor's production movie, an audition is set up to launch a new face opposite Nikki (Isha Sharwani)who plays the daughter of a bollywood diva Dimple Kapadia. Through various incidents/accidents driven by luck, Farhan Akhtar gets his hands on the audition and impresses all and finally bags the role of the lead actor.

Farhan is soon the new star on the block, but is facing problems dealing with his personal and professional life. In these events, he is unable to handle his relationship with Konkana well and is hesitant to accept his actual relationship status openly as it may affect his celebrity life.

Farhan Akhtar excels and delivers yet another fantastic performance. Hrithik Roshan plays his character to the T and delivers another memorable performance. Rishi Kapoor, Konkana, Juhi, Dimple and the rest of the cast register an impact and are all likeable. Without a doubt Shahrukh Khan's guest appearance stands out from the crowd as it is graceful and yet relevant to the plot as he gives an important advice to Vikram (Farhan Akhtar)about his career and personal life.

In a nutshell, Luck By Chance did meet up to my expectations and was more than a decent watch. Zoya Akhtar's direction and screenplay is worth an applaud. The movie will definitely be remembered as one of the best of the year 2009. Highly Recommended!!

Dev Patel to star in Shyamalan's next

After getting critical acclaim for his performance in Slumdog Millionaire, Dev Patel is all set to star in M. Night Shyamalan's next movie. Shyamalan's has previously directed Bruce Willis, Mark Wahlberg, Adrien Brody and Mel Gibson as leads (to name a few...)

The shooting of the upcoming movie is slated to start this year. The movie in talks is titled The Last Airbender which is based on the Emmy-winning cartoon series Avatar: The Last Airbender.Patel will take over the part of Zucko, a member of the Fire Nation originally set to be played by singer-actor Jesse McCartney. McCartney had to drop out because his touring schedule conflicted with Shyamalan's martial-arts boot camp.

Daniel Day Lewis in Scorsese Next (Movies - News)

Daniel Day Lewis is in talks to star in the next Martin Scorsese film titled 'Silence.' It would be really interesting to see both legendary oscar winning Hollywood heavy-weights team up for the third time after Gangs of New York and Age of Innocence. Silence is a violent drama based on missionaries in the 17th century in Japan.

Silence would also star Benicio Del Toro (Snatch, Usual Suspects, and more recently Che). Silence would go into production later this year. Scorsese has recently finished shooting for Shutter Island, a thriller starring Leonardo DiCaprio.

Battlestar Galactica s04e13 [Episode Review]

I hate this I hate this I hate this I hate this .. HONESTLY I tell you .. I Goddamn hate this. Such an amazing episode with a TO BE CONTINUED in the end. AAAAaaaahhhhhHHH!!!!!

Aah .. getting back to the task. Battlestar Galactica is back. Yeah baby! The last episode ended with plans of an uprising. This one starts with a mutiny on Galactica. The main hanger bay is taken by the rebels, with Gata trying to throw a smoke screen over Adama and Tai.

On the other front Zarack is let out of the brig and evacuated to Colonial 1, leaving Gaita to take over Galactica. Gata has been able to take in confidence a lot of the military personnel of Galactica and uses them to take over the ship.

When the sensors cry foul, Adama sends out someone to check the scene personally only to come back to report sabotage. This is when Gaita comes out of hiding and takes over the bridge, leaving Adama furious.

Lee returns to Galactica only to be taken by a group of rebels who threaten to kill him, when Thrace shows up shooting a guard and a pilot. They try to get some sense out of what’s happening to find out that Galactica’s fate hangs in the balance. While trying to get to Admiral Adama, Lee and Thrace run into them. They try to head to the secondary airlock where the President, laura Roseline and Gayas Baltar are waiting to be evacuated.

The scene ends with the two of them leaving and Lee and Thrace running off to another place in Galactica and Admiral Adama and Colonel Tai staying back to hold the guards. A grenade is thrown into the bay and that’s where the scene ends.

By what I can gather, Admiral Adama and Colonel Tai have died, and the ship is in peril. Gaita has ordered the ship to arm its weapons and target the raptor, to take it out.

We’ll have to wait till next week to see what happens next but things don’t look that good. This has been in my opinion amongst the best episodes. They have done it before, and I think it’s going to happen again. Another ship might appear, maybe Colonial or maybe the other Cylons show up, rendering Gaita useless and Lee takes over. I hope the Admiral makes it out. I don’t want him to go out like this.

I don’t know if anyone has noticed by I’ve stopped calling Gaita by his rank because he’s a bloody traitor. Hang him I say.

I apologize for my outcry but this is how much the show has got me rung in.

So that’s all folks! Until the next review.

LOST S05E03 (Episode Review)

After the first two episodes of Lost's 5th season, I was really waiting for this one!! And am so glad that the episode lived upto the standards of the season premiere!  You get to learn so much about the past of all the characters, especially Widmore and Richard! You gotta applaud for the writers of the show! The suspense quotient with every episode gets better and makes more sense! Hence, you love the show even more! All the good things said, I gotta admit the story of this episode "Jughead" was wonderful but could've been told in a more impactful manner!

The episode starts right from where the camp is destroyed by the others, and with a new time flash...its back in time to the year 1954 when the island was a part of US military experimentation! The face-off between Desmond and Widmore could've been more impactful! I am predicting that Desmond would join Sayid and the rest in LA where he'll go and find Faraday's mother. The story of John Locke, Desmond and Faraday keeps on getting better and better and far beyond interesting! Sawyer is yet to register an impact in this season! Lets hope he soon does!

For me the highlight of the episode was the part where John Locke convinces Richard in the year 1954 that he'll be born after 2 years from now and Richard will come to visit him and recruit him as the next leader if the "others". That scene was wicked!! Its also fascinating to see who Charles Widmore was back then and how he knows so much about the island in the present day!

Despite the fact there is no mention about Sayid, Jack, Hugo, Sun, Ben and the boring Kate, the episode is very intriguing! I enjoyed every bit of it! The time flashes are so unpredictable yet add more thrill and suspense to this great show. It'll be interesting to see how Locke and Daniel Faraday teams up with Juliet, Miles, Charlotte and Sawyer to better understand the time flashes!

Till the next episode...over n out!

Veronica Mars: Possible movie in the works [News]

I've been watching TV shows since 2003 or so.. and from the few from i started from, once stuck to me, like the O.C. a truly amazing show, Veronica Mars.

The show is about a college teen who's father is a detective/sheriff... spending high school and college years earning a living by doing what she has a natural knack for, investigating, she goes onto solve many crimes both on campus and off.

Every season had a plot which was revealed in the very first episode, of which the end was shown in the season finale.. a weird formula, but it worked..

So news on the block is that Thomas is currently writing the story for the movie. The major cast members are eager and have agreed to return...

This should be fun ..cant wait for it ...

On that note.. while reading that article, i found out that there currently working on converting Jericho to a movie aswell .. that should be nice ..

I just hope the don't crush us, the fans, like they did back in 2007 when the studio refused to bring the show back .. well .. that's show biz for you..

Until the next time,

Smallville s08e13 [Episode Review]

Holy SH$% … !!! What an amazing episode that was. Oh my God!

The show starts with Lana in a warehouse with a couple of scientists, who have her in a chamber and set it on fire. For the better part of the episode Clark and Loey believe that Lana has been kidnapped and try whatever they can to try and find her. During this spree Clark comes across Tess Murser, the evil witch turned comrade, which leads to a military trainer who explains how Lana trained to let go.

Mid way Clark comes across Lana’s secret safe which has a hard disk, from which they discover that Lana hasn’t really been kidnapped but is going through with the Project Promethius experiment by choice.

Next scene: Tess Murser enters the warehouse where the experiment is taking place and tries to destroy the experiment with Lana still in the chamber, during which in a hustle she fires a shot which takes down the system. She next shoots the scientist working on it, Clark zips in looking at what’s happened but before he can stop the bullet, Lana breaks out of the chamber and super speed and stops the bullet.

Apparently the experiment was to give the specimen super human capabilities. It worked, for now.

Clark continues to search for Lana when his super hearing picks Lana’s voice calling him. They meet on the roof of The Daily Planet where from what I can gather, they are back together but this time with a twist. This time Lana is different with the worry that Lana had held onto of being a distraction to Clark, now gone. The scene ends with them kissing.

This is what I hate about comic adaptations, you know how the story is going to play out. So according to the papers, bare with my historic memory, Lana and Clark don’t end up together. So what happens next week is yet to be seen. I am really curious as to how they pick the next episode up.

Looks like the writers heard us. I honestly am sick of Smallville’s story trend of boring below par season fillers they call episodes. They have amazing season premiers and finale’s but the middle part is what ticks me off. Not with this episode it didn’t.

Eagerly waiting for next week, so until then
Eddy out!

House MD S05E13 'Big Baby'

I was looking forward to this episode after watching the last one especially when Cuddy hints out Cameron about taking over her job. The episode doesnt waste much time and reveals Cameron as the in-charge of the hospital. On the other hand Cuddy is shown in a dilemma whether to keep her baby or not as she isnt feeling a connection to her. Wilson as the nice guy as he is tries to convince Cuddy about this just being a phase and she'll pass through it!

Coming back to the medical case in the episode. This episode reels the case of a school teacher who throws up blood in the classroom and wakes up in the hospital!! Havent we seen this before on the show:S ? Anyways intellectually speaking, the case and the solution to the case aren't applaudable material! Medically speaking we have seen far more better cases on the show! The episode has a trademark House climax as House is busy juggling balls in his office while thinking about the case and snap...case solved!

At the end, I am glad the writers of House MD did not extend Cameron's reign over House and made her quit. In a nutshell, only Cuddy can tame House! Well, if not tame then definitely bare him! Again...the question that i had last week, why in the hell isnt Chase getting much scope??

Till the next episode is out...stay tuned!

The Day the Earth Stood Still

We have come to a point in our lives on this planet where we can no longer justify our ends by means of this planet, Earth. We continuously deplete the natural resources of this planet with a little or no realization of consequences. We have come to a point in time where we have to ask ourselves, can we continue the way we live? What are we leaving for our children and their children to come. We can no longer do what we do the way we do. We have to change.

This movie comes as a message of this fact. A beautiful movie. The movie is about an alien who comes to earth, played by Keanu Reeves. The mission of this alien is to eliminate the source of the Earth’s demise, the human race. The midway of the movie show the glowing circular objects to collect specimens of species other than human in an attempt to preserve them once the human race, thread, has been eliminated. Jennifer Connelly plays the role of Dr. Helen Benson who tries to convince Keanu Reeves, Klaatu, of bearing the human race and giving them a chance to mend their ways and start over.

The destruction of earth starts, leaving behind no trace of humans, a brilliant sight, not the destruction of humans but the way it was visualized, amazing graphics. Dr. Helen is successful in convincing Klaatu that humans have another side that only at the point of extinction do they make a realization and are open to accept change. Klaatu see’s this and stops the destruction.

I don’t know why the movie has had such a poor acceptance amongst the masses, maybe because we are not ready to accept that it’s our fault and are not ready to change the way. The movie tries to show that to every action there is a consequence, and we will soon see the consequence.

Battlestar Galactica s04e12 [Episode Review]

Battlestar Galactica is back with a bang, airing the 11th episode after a much much wait. BSG fans had been dying to see the last installment of this great show.
The show is about a human race comprising of 12 colonies that had been attacked by a Cylon force, robots the humans created that later rebelled and started their own race.

There has been much lost during the 4 years the fleet has tried to find Earth. According to the scriptures a dying woman (president Rosaline) would lead the last of the human race to a new world, Earth. Season 4 mid end ended with the fleet finally arriving at Earth. Episode picks up from there with the fleet discovering a horrible truth, Earth is not what they thought it would be. Everything destroyed, to their shock they discover that Earth was nuked a couple of thousand years ago and the people living on Earth were all Cylons.

With the faith in humanity lost the episode 11th ends with a loss of a great life and a dark reality surfaces that everyone feared and now has to face, to end their struggle or keep on going for an uncertain future.

Going back a little, I fell in love with the show because of its sci-fi action nature. Towards the latter part of the 4 seasons the trend has shifted to a more drama scene. Something that I don’t always like, but they’ve done it in such a magical way that I can’t resist the show. Episode 12 focuses on the human connection of the characters. The characters are trying to control whatever little they have left to live for. With Admiral Adama fighting for Rosaline to continue to live instead of giving up, Tom Zarric trying to rebel against the Adama – Rosaline leadership.

People of the fleet start to fight back, and a Tillium (the fleets fuel) ship jumps away only to return after Tom Zarric has been persuaded by Admiral Adama. The episode ends with the buildup of a rebellion, the largest one in the flight so far.

With 8 episodes left in the show, let’s see what happens next.

That’s all folks, until the next review.

The Wrestler (2008)

First of all, this one is definitely for those who think this would be a cool wrestling flick portraying the life of a wrestler. This movie reveals much much more...it unveils the dramatic life story of an aging wrestler prone to injury both physically and emotionally.

Mickey Rourke is back in form!! All nominations that he has won so far are well deserved! He has already won the Golden Globe for his role in The Wrestler and is likely to go on and win the Oscar unless Sean Penn snatches it from him! This movie definitely would be the comeback vehicle for Rourke's struggling career.

The movie has a tragic ending yet a feel good one as your heart is with Randy "The Ram" through out, the way he fights till the very end with a never say die attitude to life. Many movies have shown a distant relationship between daughter and father but by far this one leads the way, as the relationship over here is displayed far more authentically then any other movie. Marisa Tomei excels in the role of Cassidy. The authenticity to how fake wrestling is and how about it is scripted is simply remarkable. Director Darren Aronofsky deserves a pat on the back for his direction.

I was reading an article recently about good things happening to people who show a heart to fight when times are turbulent! The article talked about Robert Downey Jr, Colin Farrell and Mickey Rourke as they all have spent time of their lives in rehab and now are ahead of their dark pasts and enjoying what life has for them. Downey Jr has last year's biggest blockbuster Iron Man to his credit second only to The Dark Knight, Farrell is winning accolades and hearts yet again for last year's In Bruges and Rourke has been nominated for the Oscars for his mighty performance in The Wrestler. It will be interesting to see him in the sequel opposite to Downey Jr in Iron Man II as "Whiplash."

[9 outta 10 for me!!]

House MD S05E12

Whenever there is a guest appearance in a episode of a tv show, for obvious reasons you expect it to be great. For instance if you all recall appearances in House MD by David Morse (Disturbia, The Rock), Robin Tunney (Mentalist, Prison Break), Dominic Purcell (Lincoln Burrows from Prison Break) or Michael Weston as the private investigator were all pretty remarkable and added more crisp to House's personality.

This week's episode sees the special appearance by Michael Henderson (Torque). The episode talks about a patient trying to commit suicide as he cant be diagnosed with what he is suffering from. In comes Gregory House, throw in a bit of sarcasm, a few witty comments on Cuddy's dressing sense, in the last few moments of the episode House sees something lying around...thinks a bit...and case solved...everyone goes back home happy!! This sounds like any other routine episode of House MD, and probably thats why I did not really enjoy this week's episode!

Maybe because there have been some really OUTSTANDING episodes, (Season 4 finale, or more recently Season 05e09 'the last resort') you expect much more then the usual! Foreman and Thirteen's developing relationship seems lame and boring! And also why in the hell isnt Chase getting more scope in the show?? Cuddy's personal story with her baby seems interesting as she has hinted Cameron for her job. Lets hope that next episode lives up to the merit of a good House MD episode.

Till then...over n out! :)

Yes Man [Movie Review]

Starring Jim Carrey and Zooey Deschanel in leads, the movie is about Carl Allen who's a divorcee and cannot get over the fact. He has accepted life as a failure and is living it out as is. Carl spends the better part of his life ignoring friends, staying in watching movies and working in a boring repititive bank job.

This comedy movie tries to depict what nearly every person at one time or the other in their lives have been through, not sure what to do in life and not even sure about where its going. And in my opinion it has been beautifully depicted.
I could'nt help but notice more than once in the movie that the movie was playing my life out. Movies nowadays tend to do that to get the viewers attention. The part from where Carl makes a pact to change his life to himself by saying YES to every question, drastic changes start to occur and the character starts to take a positive turn towards life.
In general, what im trying to say in this short review is, while life is a real bitch, everyone knows that, it would'nt kill you to try and change the way you are. Try saying YES the next time a oppertunity presents itself to you, see how magical it is.

That's all folks! Until the next review

Lost Season 5 Premiere - S05E01 S05E02

Ladies and Gentlemen the wait is over!! the show is back and hell yea its back with a BIG BANG!! After the season 4 finale everyone started to wonder how will the next season turn out to be...well with the first 2 episodes out simultaneously it sure hell looks like its gonna be WOW!!

Firstly, we now are certain that Daniel Faraday is just not any gap filler but would prove to be an important key to decipher the mystery of the island's time travel. The two episodes are well edited and arent as confusing as season 3 and a bit of season 4 were! Season 4 wasnt surely the best season but it had enough for the loyalists to stay loyal and wait eagerly for Season 5 (esp season 4's finale...Locke in the casket!! that revelation was priceless!!)

Now that the first 2 episodes are out, it'll be interesting to watch out a) How Ben would nick out Hugo from the cops? b) Whether Sayid will be able to stop Jack from joining Ben!! c) How Locke will lead Sawyer n others to find answers!! d) How'll Desmond yet again save the survivors of Oceanic flight by going to Oxford!!

Lets just hope Jack doesnt go back to his depression mode and grow his awful beard, Boring Kate stops ditching the returning 6 survivors and starts listening to Sun and Jack!! and ofcourse Sawyer stays the way he is and keeps on calling people with witty names!! :)

Obviously, whenever there is a good movie or a new season of a tv show expectations are gigantic as u want the entertainment to live up to the hype!! Lost has always given us enough to WOW about and lets keep our fingers crossed that this season would be as kickass as the earlier ones (although season3 was a drag :P)

Till next week's episode is out...

A masterpiece in its own category is what this colorful dark movie is. An attempt to depict the life story of a boy whose life has been a journey from the slums of Mumbai (India) till he wins the Indian version of "Who wants to be a millionaire". Danny Boyle is perfect in portraying the lifestyle of the people living in poverty in the metropolitan city.

The movie could be categorized as a love story at heart, but is a mean thriller that shows how a boy wins millions of rupees by answering questions from his own personal experiences. The screenplay is extremely crisp taking the viewer from present to past back and forth throughout the movie. The editing never makes the viewer confused or at any point does one miss the point that the story is explaining about the different characters mainly focusing on the main character that is Jamal.

The actors are perfectly cast for each role. Be it the main character or the policemen that allege and interrogate him for cheating in the game show, or the love interest of Jamal, or his elder brother. Each character does complete justice to the respective role especially the veteran actors like Anil Kapoor, Irrfan Khan, or Saurabh Shukla who are mainstream Bollywood actors.

The music composed by the Bollywood maestro A.R.Rahman is in complete sync with the screenplay and is deserving to win the oscars. It takes the viewer and the story forward so smoothly and really pumps the blood in the script. The story so crisply written that one looks forward to the happenings and never gets a clue what is about to uncover ahead. The director Danny Boyle (28 days later, Sunshine) has complete control of his characters and story and knows what he wants and shows his experience and the reason why he is so good.

The different aspects he shows in the movie, be it the love angle, or about the destiny, or about defeating the odds, relates to a common man and is realistic in every sense. I believe this is one of the finest British Indian movies to come out and I strongly urge everyone to check it out. Every single oscar nominee for this movie is what this movie deserves!

Smallville s08e12 [Episode Review]

I've been following Smallville since the very start, and I have to admit I am hooked to the show. It is one of the best comic adapted TV show in my opinion. The character build is amazing, every actor feels perfect for the role.

Coming to the latest episode titled "Bulletproof", the episode was a bit slow in my opinion. I found my self forwarding through a small part of the episode. I usually do that when I get really bored of the scene. The episode is about Clark's friend John Jones getting show by a sniper after a arrest, apparently by a departments own cop. Clark and Oliver start their investigation, Clark obviously taking the subtle investigative route while Oliver as usual taking the hard ass offensive mode.

The episode features Lana Lang, no more a series regular, with Clark trying to mend ways with Lana. To be honest, I've had enough of them. There together, not together, together, not together. I mean enough of the juggling around, I'm rooting for Louise now. Clark and Louise look good together and well as comics dictate they will end up together, unless the writers come up with a twist to take the show in a totally new direction with Clark and Louise. I was sad and kind of glad at the same time when I heard that Lana won't be a series regular any more, I honestly cannot take anymore of them.
The overall episode is a bit slow, as are all mid season episodes of the show, but with enough bang to keep watching.

So enough of me, until the next review.

Eddy out!
