Battlestar Galactica s04e13 [Episode Review]

I hate this I hate this I hate this I hate this .. HONESTLY I tell you .. I Goddamn hate this. Such an amazing episode with a TO BE CONTINUED in the end. AAAAaaaahhhhhHHH!!!!!

Aah .. getting back to the task. Battlestar Galactica is back. Yeah baby! The last episode ended with plans of an uprising. This one starts with a mutiny on Galactica. The main hanger bay is taken by the rebels, with Gata trying to throw a smoke screen over Adama and Tai.

On the other front Zarack is let out of the brig and evacuated to Colonial 1, leaving Gaita to take over Galactica. Gata has been able to take in confidence a lot of the military personnel of Galactica and uses them to take over the ship.

When the sensors cry foul, Adama sends out someone to check the scene personally only to come back to report sabotage. This is when Gaita comes out of hiding and takes over the bridge, leaving Adama furious.

Lee returns to Galactica only to be taken by a group of rebels who threaten to kill him, when Thrace shows up shooting a guard and a pilot. They try to get some sense out of what’s happening to find out that Galactica’s fate hangs in the balance. While trying to get to Admiral Adama, Lee and Thrace run into them. They try to head to the secondary airlock where the President, laura Roseline and Gayas Baltar are waiting to be evacuated.

The scene ends with the two of them leaving and Lee and Thrace running off to another place in Galactica and Admiral Adama and Colonel Tai staying back to hold the guards. A grenade is thrown into the bay and that’s where the scene ends.

By what I can gather, Admiral Adama and Colonel Tai have died, and the ship is in peril. Gaita has ordered the ship to arm its weapons and target the raptor, to take it out.

We’ll have to wait till next week to see what happens next but things don’t look that good. This has been in my opinion amongst the best episodes. They have done it before, and I think it’s going to happen again. Another ship might appear, maybe Colonial or maybe the other Cylons show up, rendering Gaita useless and Lee takes over. I hope the Admiral makes it out. I don’t want him to go out like this.

I don’t know if anyone has noticed by I’ve stopped calling Gaita by his rank because he’s a bloody traitor. Hang him I say.

I apologize for my outcry but this is how much the show has got me rung in.

So that’s all folks! Until the next review.

LOST S05E03 (Episode Review)

After the first two episodes of Lost's 5th season, I was really waiting for this one!! And am so glad that the episode lived upto the standards of the season premiere!  You get to learn so much about the past of all the characters, especially Widmore and Richard! You gotta applaud for the writers of the show! The suspense quotient with every episode gets better and makes more sense! Hence, you love the show even more! All the good things said, I gotta admit the story of this episode "Jughead" was wonderful but could've been told in a more impactful manner!

The episode starts right from where the camp is destroyed by the others, and with a new time flash...its back in time to the year 1954 when the island was a part of US military experimentation! The face-off between Desmond and Widmore could've been more impactful! I am predicting that Desmond would join Sayid and the rest in LA where he'll go and find Faraday's mother. The story of John Locke, Desmond and Faraday keeps on getting better and better and far beyond interesting! Sawyer is yet to register an impact in this season! Lets hope he soon does!

For me the highlight of the episode was the part where John Locke convinces Richard in the year 1954 that he'll be born after 2 years from now and Richard will come to visit him and recruit him as the next leader if the "others". That scene was wicked!! Its also fascinating to see who Charles Widmore was back then and how he knows so much about the island in the present day!

Despite the fact there is no mention about Sayid, Jack, Hugo, Sun, Ben and the boring Kate, the episode is very intriguing! I enjoyed every bit of it! The time flashes are so unpredictable yet add more thrill and suspense to this great show. It'll be interesting to see how Locke and Daniel Faraday teams up with Juliet, Miles, Charlotte and Sawyer to better understand the time flashes!

Till the next episode...over n out!

Veronica Mars: Possible movie in the works [News]

I've been watching TV shows since 2003 or so.. and from the few from i started from, once stuck to me, like the O.C. a truly amazing show, Veronica Mars.

The show is about a college teen who's father is a detective/sheriff... spending high school and college years earning a living by doing what she has a natural knack for, investigating, she goes onto solve many crimes both on campus and off.

Every season had a plot which was revealed in the very first episode, of which the end was shown in the season finale.. a weird formula, but it worked..

So news on the block is that Thomas is currently writing the story for the movie. The major cast members are eager and have agreed to return...

This should be fun ..cant wait for it ...

On that note.. while reading that article, i found out that there currently working on converting Jericho to a movie aswell .. that should be nice ..

I just hope the don't crush us, the fans, like they did back in 2007 when the studio refused to bring the show back .. well .. that's show biz for you..

Until the next time,

Smallville s08e13 [Episode Review]

Holy SH$% … !!! What an amazing episode that was. Oh my God!

The show starts with Lana in a warehouse with a couple of scientists, who have her in a chamber and set it on fire. For the better part of the episode Clark and Loey believe that Lana has been kidnapped and try whatever they can to try and find her. During this spree Clark comes across Tess Murser, the evil witch turned comrade, which leads to a military trainer who explains how Lana trained to let go.

Mid way Clark comes across Lana’s secret safe which has a hard disk, from which they discover that Lana hasn’t really been kidnapped but is going through with the Project Promethius experiment by choice.

Next scene: Tess Murser enters the warehouse where the experiment is taking place and tries to destroy the experiment with Lana still in the chamber, during which in a hustle she fires a shot which takes down the system. She next shoots the scientist working on it, Clark zips in looking at what’s happened but before he can stop the bullet, Lana breaks out of the chamber and super speed and stops the bullet.

Apparently the experiment was to give the specimen super human capabilities. It worked, for now.

Clark continues to search for Lana when his super hearing picks Lana’s voice calling him. They meet on the roof of The Daily Planet where from what I can gather, they are back together but this time with a twist. This time Lana is different with the worry that Lana had held onto of being a distraction to Clark, now gone. The scene ends with them kissing.

This is what I hate about comic adaptations, you know how the story is going to play out. So according to the papers, bare with my historic memory, Lana and Clark don’t end up together. So what happens next week is yet to be seen. I am really curious as to how they pick the next episode up.

Looks like the writers heard us. I honestly am sick of Smallville’s story trend of boring below par season fillers they call episodes. They have amazing season premiers and finale’s but the middle part is what ticks me off. Not with this episode it didn’t.

Eagerly waiting for next week, so until then

House MD S05E13 'Big Baby'

I was looking forward to this episode after watching the last one especially when Cuddy hints out Cameron about taking over her job. The episode doesnt waste much time and reveals Cameron as the in-charge of the hospital. On the other hand Cuddy is shown in a dilemma whether to keep her baby or not as she isnt feeling a connection to her. Wilson as the nice guy as he is tries to convince Cuddy about this just being a phase and she'll pass through it!

Coming back to the medical case in the episode. This episode reels the case of a school teacher who throws up blood in the classroom and wakes up in the hospital!! Havent we seen this before on the show:S ? Anyways intellectually speaking, the case and the solution to the case aren't applaudable material! Medically speaking we have seen far more better cases on the show! The episode has a trademark House climax as House is busy juggling balls in his office while thinking about the case and snap...case solved!

At the end, I am glad the writers of House MD did not extend Cameron's reign over House and made her quit. In a nutshell, only Cuddy can tame House! Well, if not tame then definitely bare him! Again...the question that i had last week, why in the hell isnt Chase getting much scope??

Till the next episode is out...stay tuned!

The Day the Earth Stood Still

We have come to a point in our lives on this planet where we can no longer justify our ends by means of this planet, Earth. We continuously deplete the natural resources of this planet with a little or no realization of consequences. We have come to a point in time where we have to ask ourselves, can we continue the way we live? What are we leaving for our children and their children to come. We can no longer do what we do the way we do. We have to change.

This movie comes as a message of this fact. A beautiful movie. The movie is about an alien who comes to earth, played by Keanu Reeves. The mission of this alien is to eliminate the source of the Earth’s demise, the human race. The midway of the movie show the glowing circular objects to collect specimens of species other than human in an attempt to preserve them once the human race, thread, has been eliminated. Jennifer Connelly plays the role of Dr. Helen Benson who tries to convince Keanu Reeves, Klaatu, of bearing the human race and giving them a chance to mend their ways and start over.

The destruction of earth starts, leaving behind no trace of humans, a brilliant sight, not the destruction of humans but the way it was visualized, amazing graphics. Dr. Helen is successful in convincing Klaatu that humans have another side that only at the point of extinction do they make a realization and are open to accept change. Klaatu see’s this and stops the destruction.

I don’t know why the movie has had such a poor acceptance amongst the masses, maybe because we are not ready to accept that it’s our fault and are not ready to change the way. The movie tries to show that to every action there is a consequence, and we will soon see the consequence.

Battlestar Galactica s04e12 [Episode Review]

Battlestar Galactica is back with a bang, airing the 11th episode after a much much wait. BSG fans had been dying to see the last installment of this great show.
The show is about a human race comprising of 12 colonies that had been attacked by a Cylon force, robots the humans created that later rebelled and started their own race.

There has been much lost during the 4 years the fleet has tried to find Earth. According to the scriptures a dying woman (president Rosaline) would lead the last of the human race to a new world, Earth. Season 4 mid end ended with the fleet finally arriving at Earth. Episode picks up from there with the fleet discovering a horrible truth, Earth is not what they thought it would be. Everything destroyed, to their shock they discover that Earth was nuked a couple of thousand years ago and the people living on Earth were all Cylons.

With the faith in humanity lost the episode 11th ends with a loss of a great life and a dark reality surfaces that everyone feared and now has to face, to end their struggle or keep on going for an uncertain future.

Going back a little, I fell in love with the show because of its sci-fi action nature. Towards the latter part of the 4 seasons the trend has shifted to a more drama scene. Something that I don’t always like, but they’ve done it in such a magical way that I can’t resist the show. Episode 12 focuses on the human connection of the characters. The characters are trying to control whatever little they have left to live for. With Admiral Adama fighting for Rosaline to continue to live instead of giving up, Tom Zarric trying to rebel against the Adama – Rosaline leadership.

People of the fleet start to fight back, and a Tillium (the fleets fuel) ship jumps away only to return after Tom Zarric has been persuaded by Admiral Adama. The episode ends with the buildup of a rebellion, the largest one in the flight so far.

With 8 episodes left in the show, let’s see what happens next.

That’s all folks, until the next review.
